Estimate the daily linen
Start with the number of rooms, the occupancy rate and how often linen is changed. Add restaurant linen, bathrobes, and pool or spa linen. The total, in kilos per day, is the basis of the calculation.
Spread it over the day
This volume is spread over the number of cycles the team can run in its working day. A slightly larger machine reduces the number of cycles; two medium machines provide a safety margin in the event of a breakdown.
- Allow a margin for occupancy peaks.
- Remember drying capacity, which must keep up with washing.
- Check the connections and the floor’s load-bearing capacity.
