Unlike a hotel, arrivals and departures are concentrated on certain days. The laundry has to absorb these peaks without being oversized for the rest of the week.
Start with a scalable installation
The safest approach is to start from a realistic estimate of volumes, then choose an installation that can grow: a medium-capacity washer extractor and dryer at first, with more machines added later.
- Label linen by property to avoid mix-ups.
- Plan a sufficient rotating stock.
- Add a flatwork ironer when sheets become numerous.
